Taught by UA Teacher Education Interns $45 for the six 45-minute lessons
These reading intervention classes are designed for elementary school children who need intensive instruction in reading due to dyslexia and characteristics of dyslexia. Teachers will use a structured literacy approach with dyslexia-specific intervention methods and materials including SPIRE and Basic Language Skills. If space allows, we can place students who need additional support—but not intensive intervention—with undergraduate students.
Classes are Mondays & Wednesdays each week for 1 hour–no single day sessions. We have a limited number of spots for each time period, so you will be asked to pay to hold a spot for your student.
